Spring on Maui means celebration of community with festivals and events!

We are lucky to have so many great organizers on this island with many of the spring events benefitting our keiki and women. The crowd favorite Haiku Ho’olaule’a and Flower Festival is a prime example that benefits hundreds of Haiku keiki, while The Butterfly Effect is a great event that gets women active, together and in the water while raising money for good causes. And don’t forget the amazing fundraiser at Flatbread Company, April 4th benefitting all the good work The Mauimama does. We invite all our readers to attend! Especially, because we will be hosting an awesome silent auction and will be raffling off an ergo 360!

Mauimama fundraiser Flatbread

For many families April is also Easter time. In this issue you’ll find a great recipe for choco-nut balls (that you can make egg-shaped) and natural ways to dye your eggs. Spring is also always a good time to clear out the old and start anew, so this issue is chocked full of ways we can get a better balance on our finances, work-life, fitness and our bodies for and during pregnancy.

You’ll also find in this issue articles giving Maui mamas a voice to share their experiences, which will hopefully help you if you are going through the same thing. Together by sharing we can support, empower and encourage each other.
