The Saturday before Mother’s Day is THE SEABURY HALL CRAFT FAIR: Always strategically planned the day before Mother’s Day, the Seabury Hall Craft Fair has some of, if not the best, selection of mother’s day gifts on this island. With over 100 juried vendors (which means they had to submit samples to the Crafter Committee who then chose the best representatives) there are some beautiful Maui made treasures to be found, especially hand made jewelry.
As well as being a great place to buy that ‘ever so important representation of love and gratitude’, it is also a fun day out for the whole family. The keiki zone is always a hit with bouncy castles, pony rides, games, face painting, and the longest slip and slide I have ever seen (so remember board shorts and towels).
The food is ono, entertainment is all day long and if you get there early you can score some great finds at the rummage sale. Also mamas don’t forget to grab a moment and find the mother’s chill out room. There is a tranquil room where you get to soak your feet and feel pampered for a few minutes.
The entry fee is $5, with children 12 and under free. Parking is also free unless you want to go VIP and pay $10. All proceeds from the fair support the Seabury Hall Financial aid program, which helps 35% of their students and gives families the hope that they can give their child one of the best education experiences here on Maui!
