  • Found less than 10 minutes from Haiku on the Road to Hana Twin Falls is now a very bustling mecca for waterfall searching tourists. There are lower falls and upper falls.

The lower falls are very close to the parking lot and relatively easy to access. Just follow the first paths you see to the left. These are fun pool for little ones to learn to swim in and jump off the rocks at the opposite side of the pool. Best in the mornings as mosquitoes can be in force in the afternoon.

The upper falls are over a mile round trip and can take you through riverbeds (watch for flash flooding), and trails which can be slippery and muddy when wet, but the waterfalls and pools are fun to swim in and explore.

This trail is very popular – maybe too popular (if you don’t like crowds). It is nice to go really early or later in the day after 3pm to avoid crowds.  It is well maintained and porta-potties are available at the beginning of the trail and an opportunity to buy a local snack if your kids can talk you into it:).

Please note:  Unfortunately car break-ins are prevalent – even local looking cars. Do not leave valuables in your vehicle.
