Seal of the of Hawaii

Five vaccine bills with mandates have been introduced this year to the Hawaii State Legislature. Three are already being heard in Senate Committees this coming week.

Whether you agree with vaccinations or not, it should be our right as parents to choose what we think is right for the health of our children. “Our religious and spiritual practices are a human right. Hawaii entered legislation today to require immunization with no religious exemption for public school students.” Dr. Patricia McLean.

As we know, vaccinations are not the only way to keep our children safe, for example Homeoprophylaxis, and with the risks of side effects and knowledge of vaccination ingredients, it should be a parents or individual’s choice to vaccinate, or not.

Please read the bills, submit testimonies, attend hearings, if you are on Oahu, share with others and contact your legislators (especially the committee members).

Please go to and enter bill number in the “Bill Status / Measure Status” in order to read the entire bill on pdf, track public hearings scheduled and submit testimonies. Our very own Maui Senator Roz Baker is helping introduce three of the bills: SB 2316, SB 2393 and SB 2394.

The following are the four bills trying to get fast tracked into legislation:

HB 1722Requires ALL public school students to be immunized, except for cases in which the immunization would endanger the life or health of a child. Exempts students attending private schools and home schools from immunization requirements.

SB 2316Requires a child to receive at least one dosage of the human papillomavirus vaccine prior to attending seventh grade, beginning with the 2017-2018 school year. Authorizes pharmacists to prescribe and administer the human papillomavirus vaccine to persons between 11 and 17 year of age. Requires all insurers in the State to reimburse the costs of the HPV vaccination services.
PUBLIC HEARING: Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 9:45 a.m. in Room 229.

SB 2393 – Exempts the Department of Health from the rulemaking process pursuant to chapter 91, Hawaii Revised Statutes, when adopting recommendations from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices. Requires the department to adopt rules within 90 days.
PUBLIC HEARING: Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 229.

SB 2394 – Requires annual influenza vaccinations for health care workers. Establishes exemptions for influenza vaccination requirement under certain conditions.
PUBLIC HEARING: Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9:00 am. in Room 229.

HB 1945 – Requires annual influenza vaccinations for health care workers. Establishes exemptions for influenza vaccination requirement under certain conditions.

  1. Did you know that the type of cells they grow the vaccines are continuous cell and immortal cell lines, which means they are tumorigenic and oncogenetic? And then you have the cross species transfer of infectious particles from what they are growing the viruses in, for the production of these vaccines. They are growing these viruses in aborted fetal cells, the African Green Monkey and other animals, insects, tumors, etc. They are contaminating our blood, and that upsets me just as much as all the toxic chemicals they are using. Ingredients in Vaccines by the CDC: Controversial products used to make vaccines: African Green Monkey (Vero) cells, aluminum, cow products, Cocker Spaniel cells, formaldehyde, human fetal lung tissue cells, insect products, and mouse brains. Doctors, Nurses, and Politicians are not trained on how the pharmaceutical industries make the vaccines and they do not know what are what are in vaccines. (Be sure to scroll down and read II. GLOSSARY AND DETAILS FOR INGREDIENTS of what are in the vaccines) This site goes into a lot of detail. Also, here is the CDC Website that does not go into as much detail, but lines up with the other link by Procon.

  2. Forced vaccination is not a solution to stop the spread of childhood diseases. It’s long been shown that vaccinations to not guarantee life-long immunity and, in fact, are connected to the development of other health issues. Those that use a live virus, actually shed the disease and are a greater risk than those children who are not vaccinated. The mere fact that many require boosters, disproves the herd immunity theory given nobody knows at what point a vaccine (if it was at any point effective) fails. Some people are called non-responders and others low-responders so vaccinating them isn’t improving public health safety. HPV was fast-tracked and pharma bypassed months of testing to get it on the market. We are seeing numerous adverse effects from this vaccine and it isn’t even effective nor necessary. You begin vaccinating CHLDREN for a cancer that typically strikes women over the age of 40? So they will be vaccinated, in some cases, for 30 plus years for a disease they may never develop or can be detected by regular PAP smears. HPV is also most often naturally cleared by the body. Are you aware there are at least 100 different strains of HPV and the vaccines cover, last I heard, up to 9? Japan took it off the market due to the high rate of adverse effects. Why are we so eager to push it on our children to include boys? Last I heard, genital warts were not contagious. The flu vaccine has had dismal results over the years–last year even the CDC admitted it was a failure (18% efficacy rate?). Time to put the breaks on this runaway vaccine train and start looking at things like why 1 in 6 kids has a developmental disorder or other condition. Look at the huge spike in cases of asthma, allergies, autism, ADHD and various autoimmune diseases. Nothing else to explain them outside of the bloated vaccine schedule (49 doses by Kindergarten? 69 doses by the age of 18?).

  3. Here in California we had the similar SB277 rammed through by drug company lobbyists. Please oppose this over-reaching legislation. Mandating 25 vaccinations to “be safe enough” to sit in a classroom is outrageous. (And like in California, the legislators will not apply the mandate to themselves.)

HEP-B is an STD very unlikely to be transmitted at a preschool or elementary school – see PhD quote below.

HPV is causing massive documented harm around the world, and it’s questionable whether it even achieves the stated goal of “preventing cancer.”

Chicken Pox vaccine might result in a person being more prone to Shingles at a later age. Many believe it’s better to let children catch it and develop natural immunity.

There are many documented cases of healthy children dying or being permanently brain-damaged by within hours of days of receiving the recommended set of vaccinations.

Proponents will cite “herd immunity” but that concept is flawed and does not apply to HEP-B and HPV, among others, which do not spread in a community setting.

“HepB is a blood-borne virus. It does not spread in a community setting, especially among children who are unlikely to engage in high-risk behaviors, such as needle sharing…. Vaccinating children for hepB cannot significantly alter the safety of public spaces. Further, school admission is not prohibited for children who are chronic hepB carriers. To prohibit school admission for those who are simply unvaccinated – and do not even carry hepatitis B – would constitute unreasonable and illogical discrimination.”

  4. This is horrific. It stomps all over the rights of parents. I hope Hawaiians don’t get railroaded like we Californians. Our rights were trampled upon, don’t let this happen to you, Hawaii!!!!!

  5. Anyone testifying to the legislature needs to make clear the irony that a child with Hep B (the actual disease) will be allowed to go to school but a child without a Hep B vaccination will not. This alone proves how illogic and ridiculous these new laws are and proves it’s not about disease or protecting children it’s about the money!

    • I just testified. I wish I had thought of that. That is an excellent point. There was a nurse there who did a fantastic job of providing data on HPV vaccine. Then one of the board members assured me afterwards that not everyone in the building agrees on the issue and this is the first of many debates. I’m glad to see I live in a place with so many rational people. I was really nervous when I was up there, but everyone was very supportive. I think we’re gonna be ok, but do keep an eye on this issue.

  6. Sensible legislation. There should be no exemptions except for valid medical reasons. Don’t send unvaccinated children into schools. Ignore the hysterical anti-vaccination crowd and their junk “science”.

    • The anti-vaccination crowd is use to mocking words like “hysterical” and “junk”. We would prefer to read through all the data. If you have some specific resources that address the issues listed above then please post the links to your findings. I for one would love to be wrong about vaccines and I’m always open to new reading material.
