Family Hui is starting up hui groups next week around the island.
The groups will meet up weekly for 10 – 12 weeks and are a space mothers and fathers can connect, make new friends, share stories, hang and create a great network for themselves and their children.
Each group is led by a parent and each week a topic is discussed at some point during the meet up.
So far we have four groups set up:
Kihei – Tuesday – 8:30am-10:30am – Location change – Kam III Park near swings (look for the blue and gray blanket and wagon) – Ideal for parents with newborn to 3 years. Call/text Melissa at (607) 731-8018 for more information.
Haiku – Wednesday – 10:00am-12:00pm – Laniloa Way off of Ulumalu. Former keiki Play morning & music and hosted by Kate (Publisher of The Mauimama). Call/text Kate at 283-6631.
Kahului – Friday – 9:00am-11:00am – New playground structure at Kahului Community Center playground – Ideal for preschool age but open to all. Call/text Michelle at 281-8687.
The fourth is being set up for parents with children with special needs. Location and date TBA. Please call/text Caren at 385-0612.
