Place Category: Maui Activities
In July & August: Open until 6pm
The Ocean Center has a great variety of tropical reef fish, octopus, moray eels, green sea turtles, stingrays, sea jellies, including a shark tunnel! All of the animals at Maui Ocean Center are found in Hawaiian waters, with approximately 25% being endemic meaning you can’t see them anywhere else in the world!
This is a great place to start coming as soon as you are ready to get out and about after having your baby. It can keep you entertained for a few hours (either with friends or solo), it keeps your baby out of the sun and feeds their senses (it was the first time I saw my baby actually follow an object and turn his head – as he watched a bright colored fish swim by).
You can buy an affordable annual pass (kids under 3 are free) and go as many times as you want.
*Please note: Maui Ocean Center does not guarantee the presence of any animal at any time.
