Slaughterhouse Beach
Beach Category: Beaches
-
- Good snorkeling, surfing, body boarding, scuba diving
- No fishing or spearing – this is a protected marine preserve
- Concrete stairs lead from road down to beach, not stroller or wheel chair accessible
- Limited roadside parking
- Cautions:
Dangerous high surf and strong currents often present in the winter. Monitor ocean conditions closely. Obey all postings and warnings. This beach is located in a marine life preserve so we cannot remove, harm or harass any marine life
Slaughterhouse is a beach for those who don’t want to be around other people. It is isolated and less packed than other Westside beaches.
There are no facilities, no showers, just uninterrupted gorgeous beach and views of neighboring islands.
There are steep steps to get down to it, so travel light. Not stroller friendly.
If you want to get food on the way, the Honolua store in Kapalua is the closest.
