Beach Category: Beaches
- Free parking fills up fast. There are blue Shoreline Access signs that guide the way to a few free-parking stalls and the public rights-of-way to the beach. There is additional public paid Ka’anapali Beach parking found between the Hyatt and the Marriott, the Marriott and the Kaanapali Alii, next to Whalers Village, and at the Sheraton. Tip: you can park for free at the Whaler’s Village shopping center if a merchant in the shopping center validates your ticket if you make a purchase.
- Showers and restrooms available at hotels and one parking lot. Restrooms are also available at the Whaler’s Village shopping center.
- Various beach-activity vendors line up in front of the hotels, offering nearly every type of water activity and equipment.
- Great snorkeling and Black Rock is located at northern end of beach near the Sheraton Hotel.
Kaanapali beach is busy, but for good reason. 2 miles of sandy beach with activities, snorkeling, restaurants, shopping, literally everything.
You can rent beach equipment from just about any beach stand if needed and feel free to stroll down the paved beach walk and take in the awesome people watching. You can even catch a snorkel cruise right off the water.
Ka’anapli Beach is also the home of black rock famous for great snorkeling and cliff diving (for your more adventurous and discerning teens and pre-teens).
This beach is big and generally quieter on the North side of Black Rock.
