The Seabury Hall Craft Fair is hands down one of the best places on the island to find and choose a beautiful gift for that amazing woman that gave life to your children! If you are that woman, it is also a great place to find something to treat yourself too – You are worth it!
Seabury Hall is celebrating its 41st annual Craft Fair from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., on Saturday, May 10 (always the Saturday before Mother’s day), 2014, on the Seabury Hall Campus at 480 Olinda Road. The Craft Fair has been raising money for financial aid since 1973 (giving hundreds of students the opportunity to get a great education and hope for a brighter future) and supports hundreds of local artists and crafters who take this opportunity to sell their wares.
Seabury Hall Craft Fair also houses one of the biggest rummage sales (get there early for the best scores or late to get the best deals) and silent auction of the year as well as one of the biggest slip and slide for the kids. It makes for a great family day out full of live entertainment, food, kids activities and much more. It also makes for a great pre Mother’s Day, especially if you find the softly lit ‘Spa Mama’ in Room 15 at the middle school (open 11am-4pm). This room is dedicated to new mums with infants and little ones as an early Mother’s Day present. A sweet Zen spa room to rest with the babies, breastfeed in peace, refresh and go back to the fair. There will be some middle school girl volunteers that love to play with your babes on the floor so you can enjoy sitting on a comfortable sofa, put your feet up, enjoy a foot bath, hot herbal tea, cold cucumber water, soft music and some extra special pampering. Donation of scripts welcome but they will be handing out some FREE PASSES to the Mama Spa to pregnant mums and mums with infants in the morning. For some of you in the thick of it, who rarely find time for yourselves, this room is a little slice of relaxing heaven.
Admission to the fair is $5 for adults. Children 12 and under are free. General parking is available at no charge, with premium parking for $10.
